Marathon des Sables 2016

From 8th April to 18th April our team was in Morocco photographing the runners in the 31st edition of the Marathon des Sables. The forth leg of the Ultra-Trail World Tour, held in south Morocco, is a self-sufficient race and one of the most famous races in the world.

This year, there were more than 1,000 runners starting off on the 257 km race that is held over varied terrain across the Sahara desert: dunes, stony plateaux, tracks, dried-out wadis, palm groves, etc.

The A360DEGRES team came back with over 31,000 photos (more than 30 photos per competitor on average). Each photo was classed under a race number using the photo processing software we've developed, which we fine tune at each new sporting event covered.
